A truly fascinating handmade Victorian patchwork throw filled with inspiration, colour and texture from silk to velvet filled with embroidered flowers and completed with a name and date. The backing is almost as beautiful as the front, in fabulous condition it is bordered with a braid
As you can see from the pictures this is very fragile and some the silk has suffered damage over time, rather than deflect from its beauty I believe it shows the keepers were more than happy to enjoy this throw as it should be.
